Congress cadre stage demo for KKNPP

MADURAI: Members of the Madurai Urban District Congress committee staged a demonstration near the Madurai Collectorate on Thursday demanding immediate commissioning of the Koodankualam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP).The protest was led by A Deivanayagam, president of the Urban District Congress. Former MP A G S Rambabu, former MLA KSK Rajendran were among those who participated in the agitation.The agitators cited frequent power cuts as reason for their demand for immediate commissioning of the KKNPP. They faulted the government for holding talks with representatives of those protesting against the commissioning of KKNPP.
