Construction worker killed in hit-and-run case; 5 arrested

A construction worker died after he was mowed down by a speeding vehicle in Jagannathpur village in Bhadohi and five persons have been arrested in this connection, police said on Monday.

Ashok Kumar Yadav (35) was hit by the vehicle on Sunday night when he was returning home, police said. He died on the spot. The vehicle driver fled with the car after the incident, police said, adding that they were nabbed after a chase. The five occupants of the car were arrested, they said.
