New Delhi: The Mumbai police have picked up one person, Ravindra Kantale, on suspicion of being the serial killer, who has been stalking the streets of South Mumbai for over a month now.
The man was detained in connection with the Azad Maidan murders and he has been at the Colaba police station ever since January 23.
The police have been groping in the dark for more than a month now, trying to crack the serial killer case.
The police produced the suspect in a local court on Tuesday and the court sent him to police custody till February 20.
Some 450 police personnel had been deployed to comb South Mumbai areas to capture the serial killer thought to be responsible for at least seven murders.
