HYDERABAD: Apprehending trouble in Osmania University campus in the wake of Telangana movement gathering steam, the police department has rushed forces even as the students have threatened Congress Telangana MPs that they would not allow them to return to Hyderabad if they fail to extract a promise on separate Telangana state from the Congress high command. The forces that were rushed included CRPF, APSP, Greyhounds and paramilitary forces. The police department suspects that the situation might turn volatile if the Centre makes any statement that may not be to the liking of the students and people of Telangana region.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, while taking stock of the situation with director general of police V Dinesh Reddy on Sunday morning is understood to have told him to take enough care to ensure law and order in the event of unrest breaking out.Osmania University students have already chalked out their plans to resume the agitation in case the Congress leaders fail to get a firm commitment from the high command. ``From Monday we will resume the agitation and it will be like never before,'' a Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika member said. The TVA, in a press release said that it would be in their own interest if the Telangana MPs persuade their party high command into making a categorical announcement on Telangana.“All these days they have been saying that their high command was in favour of Telangana. Now time has come for them to prove how favourable the party is for a separate state. If they fail in their job, we will not allow them to step in Telangana region. We are ready with our plans,'' K Mahesh, state president of TVA said.
