Curfew lifted for two hours at Adoni

KURNOOL: Adoni is slowly limping back to normalcy three days after communal clashes broke out during the Ganesh idol immersion procession. Curfew was relaxed for two hours in the troubled town on Wednesday. No further untoward incidents were reported.
The third day saw a relaxation of curfew from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and in the evening from 4.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m. to enable residents to stock up on essential commodities. A strong force of nearly 1,500 personnel conducted a flag march in the town. Police and district officials, however, said that curfew would be lifted only after the situation comes under total control. Police have also tightened security in the town in view of the bomb blast at the Delhi High Court on Wednesday morning.
