India's men and mixed doubles teams fought well over three games, but could not in cross the line and Parupalli Kashyap lost his singles match against Rajiv Ouseph in straight games, 21-16, 21-19.
Chris Adcock was the star of England's doubles victories. He first won the mixed doubles with wife Gabriel against Jwala Gutta and Akshay Dewalkar 21-16, 15-18, 21-11 and then the men's doubles with Andrew Ellis, beating Dewalkar and Pranav Chopra, 12-21, 21-13, 21-16.
