Death anniversary of Mar Gregorios

ALUVA: The 45th death anniversary of Metropolitan Vayaliparambil Mar Gregorios will be observed with various functions on Sunday, said Metropolitan Alias Mar Athanasios, chairman of the celebration committee.The Holy Mass at Marygiri Church in Vazhakulam near here will mark the beginning of the Jacobite Church-level celebrations. The religion prayer and public meeting will be inaugurated by Union Minister K V Thomas at 9 am. Fr Varghese Kallappara will preside over the function.‘The Biography of Mar Gregorios’, written by Fr Varghese Kallappara, will be released in a function at Ernakulam BTH Hall, at 3 pm on Sunday. The public meeting will be inaugurated by Minister K Babu and presided over by Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju. Justice Krishna Iyer will release the biography.
