Delhi: Street kids get a lesson in music, story telling
Faith Gonsalves is spreading joy and happiness through music among the children who live on the streets of Delhi.

New Delhi: Faith Gonsalves, 24, is spreading joy and happiness through music among the children who live on the streets of Delhi. Faith started Music Basti three years ago and with her team teaches 350 children who spend their life on the streets. Today the children are ready to face the world and credit Faith for instilling confidence in them.

Like Faith, a resident of Old Delhi, Irshad Alam, also believes in developing the personality of children by introducing them to the culture and history of Old Delhi.Irshad Alam is on a mission to try to find out the lost stories of Old Delhi. Irshad says that he wants to do something for the future of the street children. So he of killing two birds with one stone and in 2000 started the Talent Club.

Based on historic tales, the children write their own drama and act on it. Due to Irshad’s efforts the children have got new direction, while tales of Old Delhi have got a new life.
