BHUBANESAWAR Dengue seems to have made a come back with dozens of new cases reported from many parts of the State on Friday. At least 69 new positive cases were detected by the hospitals. A total of 111 new samples were sent for testing at SCB Medical, Cuttack, and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. Of the 93 samples tested at SCB, 62 were positive. Of the 18 samples tested at Capital Hospital, seven tested positive. In last four days, the percentage of positive cases had dropped drastically. Even Angul had reported very low cases but on Friday, at least 37 positive cases out of 69 were reported from the district. Four cases were reported from Nilachal Hospital in the City. Of the two cases in Khurda, one was reported from Bhubaneswar. As on date, 1,004 dengue positive cases have been detected in the State. The fever has claimed at least 24 lives in the State.
