CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed the State government to consider sympathetically a plea from an unemployed youth, whose prayer for appointment on compassionate grounds was rejected twice by the authorities and a single judge had also upheld the rejection.“Taking into account the fact that ED Rajan is still unemployed and is a driver by profession, we give liberty to him to make a representation before the State health secretary to accommodate him in any of the statutory corporations or agencies functioning under the government. In case any such representation is made within six weeks by Rajan, the same shall be considered and disposed of as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four months thereafter,’’ a division bench comprising Justice D Murugesan and Justice KK Sasidharan said recently.
