Drugs worth Rs 12 cr seized in Mumbai
The Anti-Narcotics Cell also seized 40 gm of cocaine in two separate raids in Mumbai and arrested three persons.

New Delhi: The Anti Narcotics Cell has arrested six persons in Mumbai on Sunday and seized 45 kg of cannabis worth around Rs 12 crore from them.

"We have seized 45 kg of cannabis which is worth approximately Rs 12 crore in the international market in three separate raids over the last week. We have also arrested six persons in this regard and investigations are on," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Anti Narcotics) Dilip Srirao said as quoted by PTI.

"We are also looking into the source of the drugs and whether there is any connection between the three raids. The raids were carried out in Dadar, Agripada and suburban Goregaon. The arrested persons are suspected dealers and a couple of them are godown owners," Srirao said.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell also seized 40 gm of cocaine in two separate raids in Mumbai and arrested three persons - two Nigerians and a resident of Ghana.

Police have seized 1.5 kg of opium from Chembur area and arrested one person while source of the drugs is being investigated, informed Srirao.
