HYDERABAD: As dengue spread in various districts of the state claiming three lives so far, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday directed the district collectors to visit the affected places on a daily basis to take necessary preventive measures.At a high-level review meeting in the Secretariat on Friday, the chief minister was informed that 636 dengue cases were reported from various districts so far this season, as against 611 during last year.The number of deaths was three each last year and so far this year. He wanted the Singareni Collieries managing director to open sentinel centres in Mancherial, Bellampally and other areas to prevent and control dengue. Similarly, 25,105 cases of malaria were reported with three deaths this year, as compared to 25,922 cases and nine deaths last year.Four-year-old Dies of DengueKANDUKUR: A four-year-old boy, Md Farooq, son of a private electrician of Kandukur died of dengue fever here on Friday. According to information, Md Farooq was suffering from fever for the past ten days and admitted in a corporate hospital in Guntur.After primary diagnosis, the doctors confirmed it as a case of dengue fever.District medical and health officer, K Sudhakar Babu, who visited the house of the deceased, said the hospital authorities had been asked to submit a report including the case details of the dengue death
