New Delhi: A farmer who had to repay a loan of Rs 15,000 committed suicide in Malegaon, near Nasik, on Sunday.
Santosh Pehede, 45, was the 15 farmer to commit suicide in Nasik in six months.
The death occurred on day Prime Minister Manmohan Singh directed Maharashtra government officials to monitor progress of developmental works in the state, particularly in the Vidarbha region.
