TUMKUR: Chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda said that since he has the support of 121 party MLAs, he need not take a floor test to prove the majority of the government.Speaking to reporters after calling on the centenarian seer of Siddaganga mutt Dr Shivakumara Swamiji here on Friday, he expressed confidence of quelling the dissidence within the party soon."When I have the solid support of the party MLAs the question of floor test does not arise. I will also take the Opposition party MLAs in to confidence to give better governance for the state," he stated.He admitted that the party had been facing some problems within, which have now been resolved. Hence, he added, it will not be onerous to tackle the present situation. Meanwhile, he said that he will continue almost all the programmes initiated by the B S Yeddyurappaled government as he will focus on developing the state.The Siddaganga seer has advised me to run the government sans hassles with mutual faith and trust among the leaders. This has boosted me morally and has instilled courage in me, he added.Like his predecessor, Gowda was accompanied by Housing Minister V Somanna, Excise Minister M P Renukacharya and Tumkur rural MLA Suresh Gowda.Tumkur MLA Sogadu Shivanna was also among those present on the occasion.
