New Delhi: Asus has launched the Fonepad 8 voice-calling tablet in India at a price of Rs 13,999. The new tablet comes with dual-SIM support and has 3G phone functionality.
The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) is an 8-inch tablet with built-in 3G connectivity and phone functionality. It has a 5.06mm bezel, 1280x800 IPS display and 72.2 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood is the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The device has dual front speakers.
It has a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing cameras. The Fonepad 8 is available with 16GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a micro SD card.
The Fonepad 8 comes with a 4000mAh battery that is claimed to provide up to 12 hours of life when watching videos or browsing the web, or up to 21 hours of 3G talk time.
The new Fonepad 8 features an all-new design and is lighter and narrower than its predecessor. The device is said to have the world's narrowest bezel on an 8-inch tablet.
It is available in Black and Gold colours.
