A Botswana national has been arrested by the sleuths of the Women and Narcotic Squad of the CCB for allegedly trying to sell cocaine. About 150 gram of cocaine worth `10 lakh has been recovered from him.
The accused has been identified as Raymond David Masahsah, 26, of Gaborone in Botswana.
Police said that he had come to India in 2011 and was into apparel and hair business. He suffered loss in them. Later, he came in contact with a few Africans and his friend Sandy, who lives in Delhi. Through them, he managed to get cocaine and sold it at KFC outlet, Styx pub, Oxygen pub near MG Road and at UB City for higher prices.
“He had come to a ground at Muneshwaranagar in Ramamurthynagar to sell cocaine. Based on a tip off, he was arrested,” the police added.
Priest Killed in Accident A 73-year-old priest was killed and two persons injured in a road accident on BEL Road on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Satyanarayana Shastri.
According to police, the incident took place around 12.30 pm. A speeding car came from the opposite side and hit his car. Shastri, who was sitting on the rear seat, sustained severe injuries and was shifted to a private hospital, where he succumbed on Sunday morning.
