A. I'm passionate about music and singing and acting is my profession.
Q. You were Chadda all the way for me I didn't see a glimpse of Annu Kapoor in the whole movie. Why don't you act more often? Asked by: Dinesh
A. It depends upon so many other circumstances. If I get a good script, definitely I'll do more movies.

A. The moment you uttered those words, have given me energy. Your words give meaning to my life. Thank you so much.

A. I'm an emotional fool & the awareness of my weakness is my strongest point.

A. Time is also a great factor. I'm still struggling so I get less time for my personal entertainment.

A. I was never offered to play a singer or classical singer's role in any movie.

Q. What was your first reaction when you read the script of 'Vicky Donor'? Asked by: Dinesh
A. Instantly I liked it. No way I was going to say no to this script.
Q. Thanks for portraying the terrific Dr Chaddha. You were simply superb! Do you think our filmmakers' hands are tied when it comes to exploring controversial subjects such as sperm donation as compared to the International film circuit? Are you worried that some sort of controversy might breakout because of going into such zones? Asked by: Sharath
A. May be it depends on the director & writer take it. There are very few directors & writers who can tackle controversial subjects & Shoojit Sircar & Juhi Chaturvedi did that beautifully.
Q. Bollywood always has this inside the box tradition where only artists with a star family background get a lot of recognition? Do you think this culture is changing and Bollywood is embracing new artists without any background? Asked by: Rahul Niaz
A. Yes but new artist will have to put in tremendous effort to make their place. Those who matter in film industry, & those who really made a mark came from outside like Dilip Kumar, Balraj Sahni, Shahrukh Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Amitabh Bachchan... Annu Kapoor.
Q. Sir, when you "act", what is the most difficult thing that you experience? And what, according to you, is the most interesting facet in acting? Asked by: Sumitro Banerjee
A. Difficult to recreate those emotions in a given situation & its so interesting as well. I performed on 20th May 2010 & I did the job efficiently, professionally. My mother was dead & I was singing dancing for others.
Q. 'Small budget movies will be the biggest gainers in Bollywood and will facelift Bollywood in the future'. What do you reckon? Asked by: Rahul Niaz
A. Yes, future of small budget movies is bright if marketing & packaging is done well.
Q. Don't you think that you are more emotional and over reacted when you are receiving award at one of the award function hosted by Shahrukh. I always considered you as one of the finest actors and I felt you should have avoided some lines in you speech on that day. Do you regret that ? Asked by: Prashanth J R
A. They have deleted so many things & deleted version was telecasted. That gave a very different meaning. SRK promised me that they wont delete it & I thanked him. But they only kept my poetry. I didn't insult anyone, it was fact of life. All those who were watching live understood it.
Q. I simply loved Dr Chaddha...Congratulations for the national award.... Why Bollywood doesn't often come up with scripts which has brain and substance and can be equally entertaining? Asked by: Dr. Arijit Bhattacharjee
A. That has been a constant feature that people complaint about Hindi film industry that have driving factors which are linked with religious, economic considerations. Its a big subject.
Q. Annu sir, what kind of preparation did you do for this role. Congrats for the awards, much deserved, without you the movie would be incomplete. Asked by: Anand Patil
A. Thank you so much...million thanks. I work very hard understanding a character. See my performances in 'Saat Khoon Maaf', 'Gali Gali Chor Hain'.
Q. Dear Mr Annu, while you were working on 'Vicky Donor', did you realise or sense that it will turn out so great - as a film & as a character Mr Chaddha? Asked by: nirav
A. I realised that its an exceptional film. I told the director Shoojit Sircar that if we can make 60 per cent of the scripts, it will justified. I come to know after reading the script the potential of turning it into a good movie. Nobody knows the formula for success but we can try to make a good movie.
Q. Which according to you is your best work and you have favorite actor and who is he? Asked by: Khalid
A. I never believed in favourites but I enjoyed playing Kabir in TV, Gandhi in 'Sardar', Dr Chaddha in 'Vicky Donor' & my characters in 'Mr India' and 'Gardish'.
