New Delhi: Sharad Pawar's victory has resulted in changes in the selection committee of the cricket board.
The selectors from the north, central and the east zone, who had supported the return of Sourav Ganguly in the Teats team, have been sent packing with the change in the power equation in the BCCI.
Pranob Roy, Yashpal Sharma and Gopal Sharma were removed from the panel on Tuesday.
The new selectors are Bhupender Singh (North), Sanjay Gadgale (Central) and Ranjiv Biswal (East).
Kiran More will remain the chief selector and the south zone selector V B Chadrashekhar has retained his place in the selection committee.
However, it is unclear whether Ganguly will be picked in the playing eleven for the Chennai Test.
Ganguly was dropped from the one-day side due to poor form, an elbow injury and a spat with coach Greg Chappell.
