New Delhi: Golf took a spiritual turn in Kathmandu on Friday as the The Art of Living Spirit of Golf tournament started with 45-strong participant turnout.
The unique initiative was teed off by an Indian expatriate from Dubai, the first edition of which will last through five days.
The golfers underwent a unique exercise of a three-hour spiritual session including yoga and meditation.
The golf tournament is being played out at a plush golf resort in Nepal's capital, in the middle of a dense forest.
"The next retreat of Spirit of Golf will take place before the coming monsoon and the Le Meridien is planning to organise the event in every two months in near future," said Suman Sachdev, Director and proprietor of the Resort.
