Acting Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor Ram Naik on Sunday asked the vice chancellors of 14 government-run universities to hold convocation ceremony on time so that students could get their degrees properly.
In a letter written to the vice chancellors of 14 government universities of the state, the Uttar Pradesh Governor who is holding additional charge of Rajasthan, sought information in regard to the examinations and their results along with the progress of admission process in the state.
Naik has further directed the vice chancellors of the Universities to organise convocation ceremony on time, a Raj Bhawan release said.
Naik, who is also the Chancellor of varsities, said it was essential to provide degrees to the students on time after the examination results are declared.
If the convocation ceremonies are not organised by the Universities to provide degrees to the students on time then it adversely affects the prestige of the varsity, he added.
