Grocer shot dead

BARGAON(SUNDARGARH): Unidentified assailants shot dead a grocery shop owner, Kshetrabasi Pruseth (45), at Kureiboga village under Bargaon police limits of Sundargarh district, late on Tuesday.Reports said four to six miscreants arrived on two motor-bikes and knocked at the door of Pruseth. Pruseth opened the door only to be shot point-blank. When his brother Ramesh gave the assailants a chase, they resorted to blank firing to scare him and fled.Rajgangpur SDPO PK Panigrahi said the reason behind the murder is still unclear. Police are verifying if Ramesh, who was into seasonal business of procuring minor forest produce and paddy from neighbourhood areas, was the actual target.
