New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday pulled up the CBI for its slow pace in investigating the Priyadarshini Mattoo
rape and murder case.
A division bench comprising Justices R S Sodhi and P K Bhasin said the CBI was taking a lot of time to bring the guilty to book.
Additional Solicitor General Amarendra Sharan put the blame on Investigation Officer Lalit Mohan.
Justice Sodhi and Justice Bhasin expressed displeasure over Sharan's remarks. He was also pulled up for failing to prove right, the claim of the victim's Personal Security Officer.
The PSO had said that he had seen the accused carrying a black helmet at the Campus Law Centre on January 23.
However, the CBI has so far failed to verify the veracity of his claims.
