Help us with India: Pak tells NAM
Pakistan has said that it wanted members of the Non-Aligned Movement to support its ongoing dialogue process with India.

Putrajaya (Malaysia) Pakistan has said that it wanted members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to support its ongoing dialogue process with India to resolve bilateral issues, including Kashmir.

"We want the (114-member) NAM countries to support the peace process and to see it as a result-oriented and meaningful (dialogue)," Pakistan's Additional Foreign Secretary Fariq Osman Hyder told Malaysia's Bernama news agency.

"It is definitely our objective that something good should come out of it (discussions) and it is also desired by our leadership," he said.

"Self determination is one of the principle flanks of NAM and many countries have come about (joined NAM) because of this principle. The principle of self-determination has been strongly support by NAM," Hyder said.

Hyder is here to attend the senior officials' meeting preceding the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau (NAM-Cob) Ministerial Meeting beginning on Monday.
