HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police on Saturday busted a prostitution racket operating from star hotels and houses in posh localities. Two pimps along with their associates, six customers and three women, including one belonging to Uzbekistan were arrested. Police also recovered two cars, cell phones and `1 lakh in cash from the accused.“On a tip-off, police raided Ella Hotel at Gachibowli and arrested Selva Raj, a native of Chennai, and a sex worker Anna Alexeeva, an Uzbekisthan national. Another pimp Goutham alias Muthyam, a native of Rajahmundry along with a customer Tavajeet Singh were arrested in the corridors of the same hotel,” said Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.Goutham shifted to the city in 2005. He developed contacts with call girls, real estate businessmen and the film industry and started flesh trade in various cities. John alias Johney, his another associate, has been evading arrest since August last. Goutham and John procure posh call girls from other metro cities and foreign countries.The Uzbekistan national Anna Alexeeva entered India one-and-half-year ago on a three-month visit visa which has now expired. Separate legal action is being initiated against her under the Foreigners Act. Police arrested Nandini, a junior artist and sex worker, along with a customer Krishna Reddy at Ella Hotel. Police then raided Mahavir apartments, Jubilee Hills and arrested Babli Singh, a sex worker, with a customer Mahesh Misra, a resident of Secunderabad, in the flat for prostitution. P Rami Reddy and Satyam Reddy, along with another pimp Johney and his associate Aadi alias Karthik were arrested in another room of the same flat. Police investigations revealed startling facts regarding involvement of several people in the racket from Hyderabad and Cyberabad. Steps to seal the premises that is being used for organised prostitution are being initiated under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act.
