House of ex-ministers friend raided

CHENNAI: Officials of the  Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted searches at the house of Inigo Irudayaraj, a close friend of former labour Minister T M Anbarasan, on Wednesday and claimed to have seized “incriminating documents” pertaining to the disproportionate wealth case filed against the former minister. A 20-member team headed by Thirunavukkarasu, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, conducted a surprise check at Inigo Irudayaraj house at Neelankarai, and at Christuva Nallenna Iyakkam (CNI) run by him at Nandambakkam.Inigo Irudhayaraj was the chairman of the CNI.“We have seized incriminating documents including details of the bank accounts of Anbarasan, which were kept in the house and CNI of Inigo Irudhayaraj,” said Thirunavukkarasu.  The DVAC team raided the houses and business premises of Anbarasan and his relatives in Chennai and Cuddalore on September  29  on a tip off that he had allegedly accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.The team which started the raid at 7 am  completed it around 6 pm.
