New Delhi: Actors Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor won the best actor and actress trophies respectively at the 13th Star Screen awards held at MMRDA grounds in the suburbs of Mumbai on Saturday.
Hrithik clinched the award for his superhero antics in Krrish while Kareena Kapoor won the best actress award for her sensitive potrayal as Dolly Mishra in Omkara, Vishal Bharadwaj's adaptation of the Shakespearean tragedy Othello.
Lage Raho Munnabhai was adjudged the best film while Rakeysh Mehra won the best director's trophy for Rang De Basanti.
Yesteryear's stars Mala Sinha and Biswajeet were given the lifetime achievement awards.
Ayesha Takia and Sanjay Dutt were honoured with the critics awards for their performances in Dor and Lage Raho Munnabhai respectively while Shah Rukh Khan-Rani Mukherji bagged the Star Jodi No 1 award.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi was the Chief Guest of the evening while Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh was the Guest of Honour.
