PUDUCHERRY: KR Meena and T Sreekanth were appointed as the new Health Secretary and Education Secretary respectively as part of reshuffle of IAS officers on Wednesday.According to an order issued by the Lieutenant Governor, the new Chief Secretary, M Sathiyavathy, has been allocated Confidential and Cabinet, Home, Sainik Welfare, Freedom Fighters Cell, and Departmental Inquiries and Vigilance.Raajiv Yaduvanshi will continue to hold Planning and Research, Finance, Commercial Taxes and Economics and Statistics.KR Meena has been given charge of Health, Relief-cum-Rehabilitation along with Revenue, Labour, Local Administration and given charge as Resident Commissioner.RP Paul, who holds Public Works and Public Health was given Port, Rural Development and given charge as Chairman, and District Rural Development Agency (DRDA).Cholleti Prabakar, who was without any subject for seven months, was allocated Animal Husbandry, Stationary and Printing and Fire ServicesT Sreekantha was given Education (earlier held by Yaduvanshi) and Information Technology. SB Deepak Kumar was allotted Haousing, Town and Country Planning and Information and Publicity. He was also given additional charge of Transport (following the superannuation of S.M Khannaji, Special Secretary who held the charge) and Agriculture, and as Chairman of PONCARE.
