Illegal LPG-filling centre: One arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvallam police on Wednesday conducted a surprise raid on an illegal domestic LPG-filling centre and arrested the person, who runs the godown.  The arrested has been identified as Vishnunath, 38, of Vaduvathoor near Muttathara in the city.The police said that Vishnunath had been involved in the illicit trade of domestic LP gas at a warehouse at Kumili near Thiruvallom for the past few months. He was an accused in several similar cases in the past too. He was arrested following a tip-off received by the police.  The police seized as many 72 LPG cylinders from the warehouse. Vishnunath will be produced before the court on Thursday.
