- If you're using a Windows PC, you can download the official TikTok desktop app from the Microsoft Store.
- You can also access TikTok in your web browser on any platform, including Mac and Chromebook, by visiting https://www.tiktok.com.
- You can search for any content on TikTok when you're using your computer, as well as scroll through your For You feed.
On PC
Open the Microsoft Store Microsoft Store. This app icon has a shopping bag with a Microsoft logo on it.
Search TikTok. This will search the Microsoft Store for the TikTok app. Select TikTok from the list.
Click Install by the TikTok app. The app is published by Bytedance and requires the latest version of Microsoft Edge to use.
Click Open. This will open the TikTok app. Controls are pretty straightforward. The arrow keys scroll between videos. L likes/unlikes the video. M mutes and unmutes the video. The red button labeled "Login" allows for logging into TikTok.
On Mac
Open a Chromium-based browser. TikTok is not yet available on the Mac App Store, but a workaround involves installing as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which is not supported on Safari.
Navigate to tiktok.com. This is the homepage for TikTok.
Click on the + icon on the address bar. This will allow you to install TikTok as an app on your Mac.
Confirm the installation. After it is done, you will be able to access most of TikTok's features on your Mac. Controls are pretty straightforward. The arrow keys scroll between videos. L likes/unlikes the video. M mutes and unmutes the video. The red button labeled "Login" allows for logging into TikTok.
