1. Imran Khan wedding
Bollywood's chocolate boy Imran Khan finally bid adieu to bachelorhood and married long time girlfriend Avantika Malik on Monday. He said he is very happy.
The couple is off to Thailand on Tuesday for their honeymoon but not alone - 50 guests will be accompanying the newly-weds.
Imran, who had been dating Avantika for the past eight years, had a registered marriage at his superstar uncle Aamir Khan's house in Pali Hill.
2. Vivek Shauq
Actor Vivek Shauq, known for his comic acts with comedian-actor Jaspal Bhatti and roles in Bollywood films like "Gadar", has passed away following a heart attack in Mumbai
3. Floods
The number of people missing after flash floods swept cars off roads in the eastern Australian city of Toowoomba rose to more than 70 on Monday, with eight people confirmed dead, police in the state of Queensland reported.
4. IAF gets indigenous fighter aircraft Tejas
India's indigenous light combat aircraft, Tejas was handed over to the Indian Air Force on Monday for what is called an initial operational clearance.
This would allow IAF pilots to get a feel of the fighter plane before it is formally inducted for action. Defence Minister AK Antony handed over the IOC Certificate to Air Chief PV Naik signaling a new phase for Tejas before it will be inducted as a squadron.
5. India Railways
Cold wave in north India has thrown rail traffic off-track with three trains – Swaraj Express, Udayan Abha Toofan Express and Purshottam Express – have being cancelled and 20 delayed.
