HYDERABAD: A section of the 26 Congress MLAs, loyal to YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, seems to be having second thoughts on their “leap of faith.” Barely a day after submitting their resignations in protest against the inclusion of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s name in the FIR against Jagan, at least half-a-dozen legislators reportedly contacted Speaker’s office requesting him not to act upon their letters. However, the same couldn’t be independently confirmed. The main reason for the MLAs’ hesitation to throw in their lot with Jagan is said to be the young MP’s reluctance to assure their renomination either in the bypolls or the next Assembly elections.Besides, they are also believed to be wary of the prospect of the Speaker accepting their resignations. Added to all this was the Congress diplomacy.
