Jamaica to rename highway after Usain Bolt
Usain Bolt returned home to a hero's welcome after a fantastic year.

Kingston: World's fastest man Usain Bolt returned home to a hero's welcome after a fantastic year in which he gave blistering performances at the World Athletics meet in Berlin.

Calm and composed Bolt was met by Jamaica's former sports ministers and other sports administrators at the airport.

Jamaica will also rename a highway after Bolt and honour the champion athlete with its highest civil award.

Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding said on Tuesday that the highway linking St Catherine to Clarendon parishes will be renamed Usain Bolt Highway.

Bolt will be given the Order of Jamaica at October's annual heritage celebration and at 23 years he will be the youngest person to receive the award.

Bolt shattered his own 100m world record this year at the World Athletics Championships and then went on to break the 200m world record at the same meet.
