JD(S) avoids irrelevant byelection

BANGALORE: The JD(S) has decided against putting its candidate in the fray for the November 30 byelections to Bellary Rural Constituency, and not support former BJP minister B Sreeramulu, who is contesting as an independent. State JD(S) president H D Kumaraswamy said that the party has decided not to contest the byelection as “it has no relevance”.    He said the election committee of the party which met here yesterday made the decision, despite a section airing opposite views.
