Srinagar police received a specific input regarding the activities of the sleeper cell of LeT outfit active in Nowgam- Chanpora areas of the city.
Srinagar: Srinagar police on Friday busted a LeT sleeper cell that was planning to carry out subversive activities in the city. Two terrorists have also been arrested and a large cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered from them.
Srinagar police received a specific input regarding the activities of the sleeper cell of LeT outfit active in Nowgam- Chanpora areas of the city.
Meticulous monitoring of the sleeper cell members lead to the arrest of the two terrorists, one of whom was a driver of a private school Mohammad Irfan Haroon. Haroon is a resident of Tawheed Colony, Natipora. The other terrorist, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, is a resident of Haja Mohalla, Natipora.
