Junior College principal caught taking bribe

HYDERABAD: The principal of Government Junior College for Boys, Pedapally in Karimnagar district, C Srinivasa Raju was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials when he accepted a bribe of Rs 50,000 on Monday.The accused official accepted the bribe through a contract lecturer in commerce, A Sampath Rao.Raju demanded the bribe for doing an official favour of initiating renewal proposals of the complainant and another person S Rajendra Prasad, for the academic year 2011-12.The tainted amount was recovered and both the principal and contract lecturer were arrested, an ACB release said.
