THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The District Rural Police have nabbed four more persons, including a pair of siblings, in connection with the infamous jewellery shop robbery at Kallara on the outskirts of the city. The arrested were identified as Shiju, 29 and his brother Shinu, 28, of Kottarakkara; Mani, 35, of Nedumangad; and Vijayan, 42, of Kottarakkara. With these arrests, the total number of persons arrested in connection with the case has risen to 13. The police, two days ago, had arrested  five persons who had allegedly executed the robbery and murdered the security guard, Raveendran Nair. They were, Dileesh Kumar, Karunakaran, Nawas, Sajumon and Rameshan Pillai. Before that, they had arrested four persons, Deepak Raj, Pramith, Rajasekharan and Palani, who had helped the culprits to sell the stolen ornaments.The investigation is led by Attingal Deputy SP K E Baiju and Circle Inspectors V Sugathan, Sreekumar, R Prathapan, Suresh Kumar and Pradeep Kumar.
