MYSORE: The Mysore Dasara Poets’ Meet will be inaugurated by Jnanpith awardee  Chandrashekhar Kambar.   Addressing the media thus, Mysore Dasara Poets Meet Sub-Committee president Prof A K Hampanna said that this year the sub-committee will introduce events such as Mukthaka-Chutuku, Mahila Kavigoshti, Kannada Kavya Sudhe: Gayana Vyakayana, Yuva Kavigoshti and Pradhana Kavigoshti.     The inaugural of the four-day event will be held at the Maharaja College Centenary Bhavan at 11 am on October 1. District in-charge Minister S A Ramadas, MLA H S Shankarlinge Gowda and district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Maddikere Gopal will preside over the function. This will be followed by the inauguration of the Mukthaka-Chutuku which will be attended by noted literatteur Prof Allama Prabhu Betadoru; 30 noted poets will take part in the event.      To mark the centenary of the International Women’s Day, the sub-committee has organised a Mahila Kavigoshti (poetess’ meet) at JSS Women College, Saraswathipuram, on October 2 at 11 am. The event will be inaugurated by noted literatteur Shashikala Veeraiahswamy, Prof C Sarvamangala will be the chief guest. As many as 25 persons are expected to take part in the event. Later, scholar K Anantharamu will inaugurate the Kannada Kavya Sudhe: Gayana Vyakayana at 2.30 pm. Scholar Prof Sudhakar and college principal Prof G K Chandrasekharappa will preside over the event which will see the participation of 20 scholars. Selected poems of Pampa, Raghuvanka, Kumaravyasa, Ratnakarvarni and Kuvempu will be rendered by poets.    Yuva Kavigoshti will be held on October 3 at 11 am at Vivekananda Auditorium  of Mahajana First Grade College, J L Puram. Noted poetess Savitha Nagabhushan of Shimoga will inaugurate the event. Noted writer Ragow and Joint Director of Kannada and Culture Department Chikkanna will preside over the event. Pradhana Kavigoshti will be held at Jaganmohan Palace on October 4.    Noted writer Sathyananda Pathrota will be the chief guest for the event, during which Vachanas will be rendered in Urdu, Sanskrit and Kodava.
