Karnataka BJP MLA Booked for Assaulting Toll Booth Operator

Bengaluru: Karnataka Police have taken up a suo motu case against BJP MLA Suresh Gowda for slapping a toll booth official along the National Highway 4.

The MLA from Tumkur Rural constituency was caught on CCTV slapping a manager at a toll booth and then abusing him verbally. The tiff allegedly arose as he was angry there is no VIP line at the toll booth.

Toll booth officials did not file a complaint but after the footage was played on media channels, the police have been asked to take up the case.
