Kidnapped auto driver murdered

BANGALORE: A fight between two groups of auto drivers over running a prostitution racket ended with the kidnap and murder of an auto driver. The victim has been identified as Govindaraju alias Govinda (25), a resident of Basappana Katte in Rajagopalnagar police limits.
The police have detained seven persons in connection with the case. They habve been identified as Venu, Munna, Francis, Korangu, Ramesh, Balaji and Saravana. Three more accused are absconding. Among the detainees, Venu is a rowdy sheeter in Upparpet police station.
