Labourer dies, road blocked for compensation

 BHUBANESWAR: Irate labourers on Tuesday blocked the main road towards Chandrasekharpur demanding compensation for the death of a labourer after falling from the roof of a house under construction. The daily labourer Ghana Pradhan died after falling from the roof of a house which was being constructed in the Sailashree Vihar area of the city on Tuesday. The agitators have demanded a compensation of ` 2 lakh to the bereaved family. The rasta roko was continuing till late in the night even as efforts are on to resolve the issue.
