The last date for confirmation of Common Entrance Test (CET) 2012 seat has been extended to Thursday.
If candidates fail to confirm their joining status through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website before 3 pm on Thursday their allotted seats would be cancelled even though they might have physically reported to the college.
The last date for other procedures such as payment of fees and collection of admission order for joining the respective colleges by the candidates who have exercised choice 1 concluded on Wednesday.
In all 21,020 candidates have collected admission orders till date. Of these 1,332 candidates took admission to medical courses, 131 in dental, 146 in Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISM&H), 19,280 in engineering and 131 for architecture courses.
So far 20,283 candidates have confirmed that they have joined the colleges after collecting CET admission order.
As per a notification issued on Wednesday by the Karnataka Examination Authority CET Casual Vacancy Round Online Seat Selection process would be conducted on Friday.
Common Entrance Test rank holders who have not accepted the allotment offered in the admission round are eligible for the casual vacancy round online seat allotment.
The opening of seat matrix would be displayed on the KEA website on Friday.
The candidates who have accepted the allotment made in the admission round or have surrendered seats to the state examination authority would not be eligible to participate in the Casual Vacancy Round.
