BANGALORE: A woman advocate from Madras High Court is one among the four arrested by Bangalore East Police and Banaswadi Police for giving out information about her relatives and friends to thieves  in the city. The police have recovered booty worth Rs 57 lakh from the accused including a Toyota car, a digital camera, two wristwatches, LED TV, music player, welding machine, iron rods, 1.5 kg gold ornaments and 2.8 kg silver ornaments. According to police, the accused are Manjunath aka Duck Manja, 30, of Chikka Banavara, Ravi aka Sebastian, 32, of Basaveshwara Nagar, Ramakrishnachari aka Ramachari, 31,  of Kamalanagar and Varunashri, 30, of Chennai.The police said, Varunashri, who works as an advocate in Madras High Court, came in contact with notorious criminal Duck Manja and helped him get bail.  Manja is a habitual thief  and had spent many months in a remand home. After his release from the remand home, he has been involved in 37 theft and robbery cases. After committing a crime in Banasawadi police station limits, court sentenced him to seven years imprisonment but he came out with Varunashri’s help. Varunashri, who wanted to take revenge against her relative Tejaswi asked Manja to rob his house in Hanumanthanagar.  She passed on the information of Tejaswi’s foreign trip to Manja over telephone. After the theft, she took the costly items belonging to Tejaswi, and also gave some money to Manja.
