BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police, in its investigation report submitted to the Lokayukta Special Court in the land denotification case, have mentioned that the irregularities by former chief minister Yeddyurappa in the case have been prima facie proven.With the sleuths pointing to the involvement of the former CM, his sons Raghavendra, Vijayendra, son-in-law Sohan Kumar and ex-minister Krishnaiah Setty in the illegal denotification case, they are in more trouble.Taking up the investigation of the first of the five private cases filed by advocates Sirajin Basha and Balaraj regarding illegal denotification, the anti-corruption agency sleuths submitted a report of over 4,000 pages to the court on Tuesday.The case was investigated by Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Shivashankar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Ahad and team under the supervision of Lokayukta ADGP Jeevan Kumar Gaonkar.Sources in the Lokayukta said the report includes complete information of the case, supporting documents about the allegations, statements of more than 40 witnesses in the case and bank details of the accused in the report.The report has made it clear that Yeddyurappa was involved in illegal denotification of land in Rachenahalli.“The report mentioned that the former CM illegally denotified an acre acquired by the government in Arkavathy Layout, thereby causing a loss of Rs 19.60 crore to the government.“The report also states that Dhavalagiri Properties also had a hand in the deal,” sources informed.Advocates Basha and Balaraj had alleged that when Yeddyurappa was chief minister, he had illegally denotified survey nos 55 and 55/2 of Rachenahalli in 2008 and had sold it to Vijayendra and Sohan Kumar for Rs 40 lakh and later sold the same to a mining company for Rs 20 crore.
