Lokayukta team on the lookout for cop duo

BANGALORE: Amrithahalli Police Inspector Ratnakar Shetty and Constable Suhail of Sampigehalli police station are absconding , while the Lokayukta police try to arrest the duo for inquiring the case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.“The inspector and constable are needed for the investigation of the case and a police team is working on nabbing them,” Lokayukta ADGP Jeevan Kumar V Gaonkar said.“We will take suitable disciplinary action against them as they are serving in the police department,” he added.Shetty and Suhail were booked by the Lokayukta police under the Prevention of Corruption Act on Wednesday.The Lokayukta sleuths raided the station to arrest the inspector, but he managed to escape with a walkie-talkie.Lokayukta sleuths registered the case against the duo based on the complaint and conversations recorded by the complainant.
