Italian racer Andrea Dovizioso was third.

Rossi won the season-opening GP in Qatar, but Lorenzo came first in the Spanish GP in Jerez three weeks ago.

In the standings, Lorenzo has 70 points, Rossi has 61, while Dovizioso climbed up to third with 42 points.

In the Moto2 race, championship leader Toni Elias of Spain claimed victory ahead of countryman Julian Simon, with Italy's Simone Corsi finishing in third place.
