Moga: A 25-year-old man, married three years back, committed suicide after his in-laws allegedly refused to send his wife with him, police said on Tuesday.
Rajvinder Singh consumed poison when his mother-in-law Nasib Kuar and father-in-law Veer Singh, both residents of Baghapurana, refused to send their daughter Manpreet Kaur back to Sangatpura village with Rajvinder following which, on an impulse, he consumed poison on Monday, they said.
A suicide note was found near the body. Rajvinder has alleged that his wife Manpreet had illicit relationship with Gurtej Singh in the suicide note.
Nasib Kaur and Veer Singh allegedly connived with Gurtej Singh, who used to help them financially, and decided not to send their daughter with Rajvinder.
A case has been registered against four persons, including Manpreet Kaur's paramour, they said, adding no one has been arrested so far.
