THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Medical College police nabbed a man on charges of deceiving people by offering them chance to act in tele-serials after receiving money. The accused was identified as Manu Thomas alias Manohar Thomas hailing from Kottamam near Neyyattinkara. The arrest was made after receiving a complaint from a woman from Kumarapuram. Manu took money and offered her a chance to act in a serial and assured a job to her son in Gulf. She gave him Rs 20,000 in this regard. Later there was no response from him. According to the police, his modus operandi wasto get acquainted with women over mobile phone. After establishing a good rapport, he would meet them in person in the guise of a cosmetics vendor. Then he would make them believe that he is a close associate of tele-film industry.
