About 600 ministerial cadre employees will go on an indefinite pen-down strike from Thursday demanding reorganisation of Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences.
J Manjunath, general secretary of the association, said: “The government has not responded to our call for implementing the recommendations of former additional chief secretary Meera Saxena Committee’s report. The Finance Department has given a negative opinion on the report pertaining to ministerial employees. We demand the implementation of the reports as in the present system there are no scope for promotions.”
At many taluk and district level offices, there are no ministerial posts at all, he said and added “During the strike, we will not take up any writing and administrative works.”
