Miracle! Pothole Turns Lifesaver After 'Dead' Haryana Man Comes to Life as Ambulance Hits Cavity
When the ambulance hit the pothole, Brar's grandson noticed his hand movement and sensed his heartbeat. He immediately asked the driver to head toward the neighbouring hospital. It was found that Brar was alive

A pothole became a lifesaver for a dead 80-year-old Haryana man, who came to life after his ambulance hit with it on Thursday, claimed family.

A resident of Nissing town in Haryana’s Karnal district, Darshan Singh Brar was declared dead by doctors and was being taken by ambulance to his village Karnal, where his final rites were scheduled to be performed.

Mourning relatives were gathered at his village, food had been laid out and wood had been collected for Brar’s funeral, reported NDTV when the ambulance hit the pothole near Dhand in Kaithal.

The jolt was so strong that Brar’s grandson and a few of his family members sitting inside the ambulance noticed him moving his hand and immediately asked the driver to head towards the nearest hospital. Brar came to life after the jolt, claimed his family members.

The octogenarian is now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karnal, where his condition is said to be critical. Brar’s family hails the incident as nothing less than a miracle done by god and are praying for his speedy recovery.

The English daily spoke with Balwan Singh, one of his grandsons, who said that the 80-year-old lived in Nising near Karnal, where an entire colony was named after him. Brar was not keeping well for a few days and Singh’s brother took him to a hospital near his house in Patiala for specialized treatment.

Balwan said that his grandfather was on a ventilator for four days and, on Thursday morning, doctors declared him dead.

“My brother in Patiala informed us around 9 am on Thursday about our grandfather’s death, and he was getting him to Nising (roughly 100 km away) in an ambulance for his last rites,” said Balwan adding that they had informed relatives and neighbors about the unfortunate happening.

“People who knew him gathered to mourn for his passing and a tent was set up along with food for mourners. We had also got wood for the cremation,” claimed Balwan on Friday.

AMBULANCE HIT POTHOLE

On the way, the ambulance hit a pothole hard and Brar’s hand moved. Singh also checked his heartbeat and upon finding he brought the 80-year-old to a neighboring hospital.

The family said doctors at the hospital confirmed that Brar was alive and breathing and then they referred him to a hospital in Nising, from where he was transferred to the NP Rawal Hospital in Karnal.

“A miracle has occurred. We are now praying for a speedy recovery for my grandfather. We received congratulations from everyone who had come to mourn his passing, and we asked that they consume the food we had prepared. By God’s mercy, he is breathing now, and we’re hoping for a speedy recovery,” he said.

NO IDEA WHAT TRANSPIRED, CLAIMS DOCTOR

We cannot declare that the patient has passed away, said Dr. Netrapal of Rawal Hospital adding that Brar had a pulse, and blood pressure, and was breathing when he was brought to them. “Whether it was a technical glitch or something else entirely, we have no idea what transpired at the other facility.” said the doctor.
