A 53-year-old woman, who went missing two days ago in Habsiguda, was found murdered at Choutuppal in Nalgonda district. According to police, the victim, Parmeela, was running a real estate business in Habsiguda. On Aug 4, she left the home informing her family members that she was going for registration work of a land in Choutuppal. Police said that one Gupta, resident of Boduppal was her business partner and disputes might have taken place between them regarding a land located in the Habsiguda.
Uppal Inspector Lakshmikanth Reddy said that a missing case was registered on Aug 4 based on the complaint. On Sunday, around 3 pm, the Choutuppal police found the charred dead body of an unidentified woman and informed to the Uppal police.
Suspecting the deceased woman as Prameela, the Uppal police brought the family members of the victim to the spot. ``The family members visited the spot and identified the deceased as Prameela on the basis of saari and face. A few unidentified persons, who are reported to be business rivals of the victim, might have been involved in killing her,' police said.
The dead body was sent for a post-mortem examination at Government Hospital and then was handed over to the family. Police also took one person into their custody in connection with the murder.
